Shopify Chatbot: How to Recover Abandoned Carts on Messenger for Shopify

In this tutorial, you will learn how to implement Abandoned Cart Recovery for your Shopify store via email, and Facebook Messenger.

As you may know, Facebook Messenger is one of the best ways to reach out to people because it has a very high open rate, so we are looking at 70-80% open rate vs 25%.

By using Facebook Messenger, you will be to able increase abandoned cart recovery by as much as 300%.

First, install the GoBeyond App, and go to the Auto Abandon Cart Section under Set Up Tab.



Let's set up your reminders. When someone comes to your store, puts a lot of items in their cart and leaves, this feature will remind them to finish their order. The best way to do this is to send multiple reminders. 

  1. Reminder 1: Best sent within 2 hours after they left.

  2. Reminder 2: Best sent next day. 

  3. Reminder 3: Best sent 2 days later.

Next decide how much of a discount you want to give them and insert that into the 'Discount %' field and create a discount code.


Your discount code can be anything!


Once it is set up, just click on the Save button and it will automatically save it and just like that Abandon Cart will be working for you via email and Facebook Messenger.
